It was great to congratulate Sam on the opening of his cafe The Rise, community centre, as well as, the Summer football academy to the ward. The cafe has a full menu for breakfast and lunch, as well, as a good selection of cream cakes and bakes. There are wonderful smells from the bakery onsite.
The Rise (community centre) was the old Bistre Nursery, which had been closed for many years.
Only the hall was being used by some community groups.
