Keep Wales Tidy Week is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in your local community and make a positive impact on the environment.
Running from March 15th to 31st, Keep Wales Tidy Week encourages residents across Wales to get outside, grab some gloves and bags, and help clean up their neighbourhoods. It’s a great way to tackle litter, improve the look of our communities, and benefit wildlife.
Buckley Events
Buckley residents are in luck! This year we have two exciting events as part of Keep Wales Tidy Week:
- Westwood School Clean-Up: Join us for a community litter picking event at Westwood School on March 25th from 1pm to 4pm. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbours, get some exercise, and make a real difference to the school and surrounding grounds.
- Nant Mawr Footpath Clean-Up: On March 28th, there will be another community clean-up event supported by Keep Wales Tidy, Wales & West Housing Association, and Flintshire Council. We may even have some prizes for children at this event (Parents permission will be needed to take part so pop down with your children)
Why Participate in Keep Wales Tidy Week?
There are many reasons to get involved in Keep Wales Tidy Week:
Benefit the Environment: Litter is a major problem that can harm wildlife, pollute our waterways, and spoil the beauty of our natural spaces. By taking part in a clean-up event, you can help to make a real difference to the environment.
- Improve Your Community: A clean and tidy community is a more pleasant place to live. By working together to clean up our neighbourhoods, we can create a more attractive and welcoming environment for everyone.
- Get Some Exercise: Spending time outdoors and participating in a physical activity like litter picking is a great way to get some exercise and improve your health.
- Meet New People: Keep Wales Tidy Week is a great opportunity to meet your neighbours and other members of your community. Working together on a common goal can help to build stronger relationships and a greater sense of community spirit.
Join the Keep Wales Tidy Movement and Make a Difference!
Whether you participate in the events organised or just clean up your own street, every little bit counts. By working together, we can make a big difference to the environment and create a cleaner, greener Wales for everyone.
