Flintshire County Council Housing cabinet member Sean Bibby, and ward County Councillors Carolyn Preece and Dan Rose, met with Year 6 pupils to discuss issues around litter pollution and keeping Buckley tidy. A lot of litter seen on the day had been thrown over the fencing into the school’s playing area, ideas were discussed on what could be done, now and once it had been cleared, what could be done to stop more littering from appearing.
The next step was to speak to Keep Welsh Tidy Wendy and Flintshire County Council Environmental Improvement Coordinator Adriana, sort out funding for the skip, volunteers etc and set a date for the clean up to take place.
In the meantime further discussions with Wales and West took place about Becketts lane and a further clean up date was arranged.
